It's not as easy as I pretend it is
And just when I thought I was finished writing an entry... here I go again!
Hahaha, couldn't help it, I couldn't stop writing. Besides my solutions are still busy cooling down, so I have at least 15 minutes to do this.
Hahaha, anime, eh? I'm currently watching the Vision of Escaflowne, though as bad luck would have it, episodes 8 and 9 seem to be having problems loading wherever I go. They seem to be telling me, buy a DVD or something, you cheap anime-freak! hahaha. Well... hehehe
But that anime is one of the best stories ever written. The animation's excellent, of course, what more can you expect from something released by Sunrise? The studio that created it ought to be _amn GOOD!!!!! Define Gundam Wing, Spirited Away and all those animes with Sunrise themes playing at the beginning.
I also watched Junjou Romantica, a one-of-a-kind anime that tackles same-gender relationships and pictures it in ever so different but still romantic ways. I've always loved watching Yaoi themes,... (more)

Eating in Istanbul
(Part I)
During our stint in Istanbul, we had the privilege to eat and dine more often than usual compared to the other European countries we'd been to. Not only due to the cheaper exchange rate in comparison to the euros, francs or pounds, but also because Turkey just has so much to offer.
I love it when we don't have to abide to the "One country, only one local food" rule made by our wallet.
Armed with our guide book, we went around the city of Istanbul tasting most of their specialty and local cuisines.
One of Istanbul's most commonly known food would be the kebab. As a matter of fact, I dare say the kebab is Europe's most commonly known and seen food. You will be able to see a kebab stall everywhere around Europe.
Huge chunks of meat be it chicken, beef or lamb will be sliced into a bread or pitta and filled with salad and sometimes fries. Definitely the next best thing to look for if you are sick of McDonalds as they are delicious, widely available and most importantly cheap. I had... (more)

Uneven slippers
I'd planned on making these felted chrocheted slippers from Fiber Trends using Noro yarn.
As the cheapskate I am, I used a more inexpensive yarn for the soles - not such a good idea....
Yet another "note to self": Do not try felting using two different yarns!
The soles on these babies are about three sizes too small for the upper part!
Alrighty then, back to square one - I'll try it again, this time using the same yarn for the ENTIRE slipper!

Israel's "terrorist" Propaganda Backfires
Since 9/11, Israel has learned that you can get American support for just about anything by using the "terrorist" label. In this case it has backfired.
QUOTE: However, the group stated it had decided not to mediate in efforts to release the man because the Right-wing Arutz Sehva Internet news site referred to the group as "terrorists."
Nigerian group slams Arutz Sheva
By SHELLY PAZ AND JPOST.COM STAFF
The armed Nigerian group, the Movement for the Emancipation of the Niger Delta (MEND), said Thursday it knew where a kidnapped Israeli businessman was being held. The militants stated they also knew the identity of the four men who snatched the Israeli from the driveway of his home in the Nigerian city of Port Harcourt on Tuesday night.
However, the group stated it had decided not to mediate in efforts to release the man because the Right-wing Arutz Sehva Internet news site referred to the group as "terrorists."
The group reported it had... (more)
